Tell your bicycle theft story

A bicycle is a tool for freedom for millions of people, freeing us from traffic, opening up possibilities of places to go, and giving us free exercise to strengthen our bodies and clear our minds. From childhood, the ability to ride a bike is viewed by both child and parents as one of their proudest moments.

So when a bicycle is stolen, the owner feels a profound sense of loss and violation.  Unfortunately, a bicycle is reported as stolen every six hours in Seattle.

One of the best ways to deal with loss is to tell your story.  And more importantly, we can learn from one another on how to avoid theft in the future and even possibly recover more bikes.

Please tell us your story about your bicycle, your love for it,  how your bike was stolen, and, hopefully, how you recovered it.  We will collect these stories and share them back with the world.
